OPTION 4 - CASUAL HUNTING

This option is available for the deerstalker who perhaps has only a day or two to spend, but would like to enjoy a genuine outdoor experience, along with opportunities to pick up a deer for the freezer, a goat, or maybe a wild pig. This is not a trophy hunting option, apart from maybe the opportunity to take a trophy goat.

This could be an ideal chance to get away with a group of your mates, or take your family for an overnight trip - where they will have the opportunity to view wildlife in their natural terrain, only minutes from the comfort of our bush lodge. The lodge is also a great place to put your feet up, in front of the open fire, and relax. For the photographer, there will be some great chances for natural wildlife shots.

Casual hunting starts from 15 May and run through until January. All trips are guided.

CASUAL HUNT COSTS

The costs include food, accommodation, and guiding fees. (Bring your own alcohol). We can arrange to pick you up, and return you to or from Wellington or Palmerston North, however additional charges do apply for this service for casual hunters. If the opportunity to take a trophy animal arises, and the hunter wishes to take the animal, trophy fees as per the lists in Options 1 - 3 will apply.

Base Costs:
US$200 per day per hunter,
US$50 per day per non-hunter,

plus:

Deer for meat = US$150
Cull type stag = US$350
Goat = US$50
Pig = US$100
